Before you reach out

Honest answers on what you get, what you don't, and who this isn't for.

Do you take a cut of my production costs?
No. GarmentSpec doesn't manufacture or place your order anywhere, so there's nothing to take a cut of. You pay a flat fee for the tech pack, full stop, and whatever your factory later charges you for the run is between you and them.
What's the difference between the single-style and from-concept tiers?
Single style ($299) is for when you already have a sample or a clear reference, we build the spec straight from what you show us. From concept ($499) is for when you're starting with just an idea, a rough sketch, or inspiration with no existing sample, we develop the construction from scratch before speccing it. Not sure which fits, tell us what you have and we'll recommend one.
Do I need to already have a factory lined up?
No. Most brands order a tech pack before they've picked a factory. A solid spec is what turns "thanks, we'll pass" into a real quote, from whichever factory you end up choosing. Get in contact for details and turnaround times.
How long does it take?
3 to 5 working days per style, including 2 to 3 revision rounds. For a full collection, we'll confirm a specific timeline once we see the brief.
Who is this NOT for?
Footwear, bags, or other hard-good producers, we only spec apparel. Brands looking for someone to manufacture or place their production for them, we only write the spec, we don't run or find a factory for you.
Refunds?
Full refund if you decide not to proceed before we start your spec. Once the first draft is delivered, the fee covers the work already done, so it's non-refundable from that point. No hidden fees beyond the add-ons already listed.
