Grade rules on 6 points, DXF-AAMA + PDF

How grading is done
Every grade point gets its rule, every size is walked against the next, and a second person checks the nest before delivery. The photos show that kind of work.

Grading, shown
Grading moves each grade point of the base pattern by a set amount per size, the grade rule. Stack every size on top of each other and you get the nest your factory checks. Pick a size to see it in the nest.
Drawn example, not a client pattern. Front body, XS to XL, base size M.

Example values in cm. Zero point: center front on the chest line. x grows toward the side seam, y toward the hem.
What you get
Graded pieces your factory can cut from, and the rules behind them, so every size can be checked. One revision included. Example file names; your style name goes on every file.

Which grading?
Our $89 size grading grades the measurements on paper. Pattern grading grades the pattern pieces themselves. If your factory asks for graded DXF files, you need pattern grading.
The team behind every pack
Our studio team in the USA drafts every flat, measurement and note, and answers your revision rounds by email. No template generator, no guesswork.
Reading a brief with flats and swatches
Sketch, reference photo or sample: someone on our team reads it and replies within 24 hours with the tier, the price and the timeline.
Example page
A technical designer draws every view to proportion, with numbered callouts for each seam, stitch and trim.
Example page
Measurements graded across your sizes with a tolerance on every line, plus the bill of materials and construction notes.
Measuring the inseam on a fit model
Before delivery, someone who did not draw the pack checks every point of measure against the flats. Then 2–3 revision rounds by email.
Example pages are shown with the brand removed. Photos show the kind of studio work behind each step.
Price and what to send
The price per style depends on how many pattern pieces the style has, and includes 5 sizes and one revision. Grading takes 3–5 working days once the base pattern is in.

Before you send it

Not on the list?
Pattern grading turns one base-size pattern into a full size range. Each grade point on each piece moves by a set amount per size, the grade rule, and the result is a graded nest and a pattern file for every size.
Size grading is spec level: graded measurements with tolerances, grade rules and a customer size chart, as a PDF. Pattern grading grades the pattern pieces themselves and delivers graded DXF-AAMA and PDF files your factory can cut from. See size grading if you only need the measurements.
Your base pattern (DXF-AAMA, a native file from your CAD system, or paper pieces), the size range, and your size chart or target measurements per size. No grade rules yet? We write them from your size chart.
We work in Gerber AccuMark, Lectra Modaris, Optitex, TUKAcad, CLO, Browzwear, StyleCAD and Audaces. Graded files come as DXF-AAMA, which works in all of them, plus PDF; native files for your factory's system are available on request. Every file is yours outright, no licensing.
Yes. We digitise the paper pieces first for $99 per style, then grade the digital pattern.
$149 per style for up to 10 pattern pieces, or $229 for 11 pieces or more, with up to 5 sizes and one revision included. Each extra size is $25. Marker making is $59 per size range. We confirm the price by email before any work starts.
3–5 working days once the base pattern and the size range are in, with one revision included.
Yes. A first pattern is $349, $549 or $899 per style by complexity; see pattern making. Starting from scratch, the package covers the tech pack, the first pattern and grading to 5 sizes from $649 per style, at the same price whether the style starts from a sample, a reference or a concept.
