Size grading and size charts

Size grading and size charts, measured, not guessed.

Already have flats or a sample? We grade your points of measure across every size with a tolerance on each line, and turn them into a size chart your customers can read. Grading and size charts only, no redraw of your pack.

How grading is done

Measured, graded, checked twice.

Every point of measure is set with a tolerance and graded across your sizes, then a second person checks the numbers before delivery.

One base size in, every size out.

Pick a size range and a unit to see how the same base measurements grade. Your file comes with the grade rule on every line, so a factory can check each size against it.

Break points, not one rule for every size

Bodies do not grow in equal steps. Pick XXS–3XL and watch chest and length change pace after XL: that is a break point, and your grade rules should say where it sits. Inches are converted from centimeters and rounded to 1/8 in; on your file we grade in the unit your factory works in.

We grade the spec, not the pattern

We grade the measurement spec and write the grade rules. Your factory or pattern maker grades the paper or digital pattern from it. Want a quick size chart first? Try the free size chart generator.

What you get

Four files, one size system.

Everything a factory needs to cut every size, and everything your customer needs to pick one. Delivered as a PDF; any other file formats are confirmed in your quote.

The team behind every pack

Real people draw every tech pack.

Our studio team in the USA drafts every flat, measurement and note, and answers your revision rounds by email. No template generator, no guesswork.

A second person checks every measurement

Before delivery, someone who did not draw the pack checks every point of measure against the flats. Then 2–3 revision rounds by email.

What to send

Send the base size. We grade the range.

Grading works from a garment that already fits. If you do not have flats or a base sample yet, the full tech pack is the better start.

Send us

  • Flats or a sampleYour flats, or clear photos of the approved base sample laid flat.
  • Base size measurementsMeasured on the base sample. No numbers yet? We send a how-to-measure sheet.
  • Size range and marketThe sizes you sell and where (US, UK, EU sizing differs).
  • Fit notesWhat you changed on the base sample, and anything a size should not do.

Right service?

  • Yes, if you have flats or a fitted sample and need every size specced.
  • Yes, if your size chart and your factory’s measurements disagree.
  • No, if nothing is drawn yet: the full tech pack includes grading.
  • No, if you need the pattern itself graded: that is your pattern maker, working from our graded spec.

What it costs

$89 per style

Size grading turns one base size into a full size range by adding or subtracting a set amount, the grade rule, at each point of measure. We grade the measurement spec your factory works from and write the rule on every line.

No. We grade the measurement spec and write the grade rules. Your factory or pattern maker grades the paper or digital pattern from that spec.

Your flats or photos of the approved base sample, its measurements, the size range you sell and your market. No measurements yet? We send a how-to-measure sheet first.

Yes. You measure the base sample with our how-to-measure points and send the numbers and photos. If a number looks off against the photos, we ask before grading.

The graded spec lists garment measurements for the factory, with tolerances. The size chart lists body measurements for your customer, so they can choose a size. We make both from the same numbers so they agree.

$89 per style for the graded spec and size chart, or $49 per style for a size chart only. We confirm the scope and timeline by email before any work starts.
