The rules for using this site and buying from us: what you get, when you get it, what you may do with it, and what happens if something goes wrong.
GarmentSpec (“we”, “us”) is a tech pack studio: we turn a brand’s sample, reference, sketch or idea into a tech pack a factory can quote, sample and cut from. We write the spec; we do not manufacture, place production or take a cut of production.
These terms apply when you use this website or buy from us. By using the site or completing a purchase, you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
Prices on this site are our list prices. Results from the quote builder and other free tools are estimates: the price and scope that bind us are the ones we confirm to you by email for your styles. Turnaround starts once we have what we need to start (your brief, files and payment).
Our tech packs describe how a garment should be made; the factory you choose is responsible for making it. Our guidance on standards, labels and certifications is general. You remain responsible for the claims on your labels, packaging and product pages.
Prices are in US dollars, per style, and paid upfront, by card through Stripe or as agreed in your quote. Any sales tax that applies is shown at checkout. Your receipt is emailed automatically; if you need an invoice with your company details, email us.
Our services start as soon as you pay, and each pack is made for your own style. For this reason all sales are final.
This does not affect any rights the law gives you that cannot be excluded. Revisions within the included rounds cover changes and factory questions after delivery; if a file is broken, email garmentspec@gmail.com and we fix or replace it.
Your designs, briefs, samples, sketches and files remain yours. We use them only to make your tech pack and keep them confidential; we sign your NDA if you ask. The finished tech pack is yours outright: no licensing, no lock-in, no ongoing fees. You may send it to any factory.
The text, guides, templates, tools and design of this site belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. You may read, print and share links to our pages. Free templates may be used for your own products, but not resold or redistributed. Example pages by other designers and style reference photos belong to their credited owners and are shown with permission.
We prepare our tech packs, guides and tools with care, but the free content on this site is general information, not professional or legal advice for your specific case.
We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost sales or business interruption. For any paid service, our total liability is limited to the price you paid for it. Factories are independent companies: we are not responsible for what a factory you work with does or doesn’t do.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
We link to other designers, tools and websites because they are useful. We don’t control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms that apply to a purchase are the ones published on the day you paid.
If something goes wrong, email garmentspec@gmail.com first: most problems are solved in one reply. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live.
