In 2021, GarmentSpec started as a small studio helping independent labels turn sketches into specs a factory could actually use, instead of guessing their way through construction details after the fact.

The focus hasn't changed since: a checklist built for each garment category, a factory-readable format, and revisions included, delivered in days, not weeks.

2019

Started as a fashion brand ourselves

Got burned by bad specs and factories that couldn't read them. Took notes.

2020

First spec checklist shared publicly

A free one-page checklist for getting a tech pack right, shared with the fashion community before GarmentSpec was even a paid service.

2021

Flat pricing, not a calculator

Brands wanted to know the cost before reaching out, so we published $299 / $249 / $499 instead of quoting case by case.
